Yep, I made the baby dance. In the right moment, in the right setting, I love bringing music to my photo sessions! Right moment, right setting = somewhere where blasting music is appropriate and without onlookers. I photographed Paige and Jacob's cute little fam on an early summer morning in a local park before another soul was there - perfect! I brought out my speakers and let Baby Liam and his parents feel the groove. For some clients, I know that's a minute of full TORTURE... but it's those times that the pictures turn out the silliest. ;)
I'm that person that LOVES when it rains on camping trips and plans visits to National Parks in the off season (like February - April) when they aren't as pretty but also aren't nearly as crowded. To be honest, I'm just not one to love sizzling hot summer weather. The first things that come to mind are sunburns, thigh chafe, being super thirsty, overcrowded destinations, long bathroom lines and sweaty strangers. But after living in Utah for five years, I figured I HAD to make a red rock shoot happen before we moved away! On par with my summer qualms, I made sure this shoot could happen in the morning hours before it got too hot and before many other visitors arrived. And it was SO GOOD. Sorry for not giving you a chance earlier, red rock!

This one goes in the books at my first and only POST-APPENDICITIS SHOOT.
Yep! That's right. Four days before our scheduled shoot I got a text from Jill, "Sooo Jared is going into surgery soon with appendicitis. I just wanted you to know in case he isn't feeling well enough to do pics Saturday. I think he will but just wanted you to know!" And sure enough, four days later he was up trekking through the snowy mountains to get these pictures! You would never know it when you look through and see all their smiles. Thanks for being a trooper, Jared!
And just a HEADS UP that I've got one last Utah trip coming up! Contact me ASAP if you would like an anniversary session in Utah because this will be my last trip out there for the year!
